A big Thank You goes out to FISH FLORIDA for donating fishing equipment to our BHCFL families for our Family Retreat Weekend! Fishing is a sport that is relaxing, can create a bond between parent and child, and is super fun. Let's Go Fishing'!!!!


Great  News! 


We are excited to announce that BHCFL just received a $250 grant from Walmart Giving for our Lending Library! We can't wait to upgrade some of our equipment so that it's ready for our families! Thank you Walmart for doing great things in our community! #Better Together





We can’t thank these two enough! Olive Garden and Panera Bread pulled out all the stops and donated food to help feed our families today! Thank you, thank you, thank you!







We are so grateful to Daytona State College Science Club for coming out and conducting a Science Lab with all types of Science experiments for our homeschooled youth! They even took the children outside to test some things out. You all ROCK! 

Make sure you come out to see them at Community EXPO 2020!







Our Clothing and Sneaker Drive was a HUGE success!! Thank you for bringing donations today, and a big SHOUT OUT to Daytona State College Science Club for making a call out to their students to donate! The answer to the call was massive! They came with donations galore! Once we sort and distribute to the various places, we will update you.

Our partners have been so wonderful throughout the years. We are so grateful to the Deltona Regional Library and the Lyonia Environmental Center for providing the venues for our event! Everything turned out beautifully. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤️

I can’t believe I have spent ten years of my life homeschooling. It’s been quite a journey. The homeschooling lifestyle has given our family so much freedom and opportunity–to make our own schedule, to learn the way that makes sense for us, to bond as a family.     Do black people camp? This is a question that I hear all of the time, whether it be asked upon myself, heard in casual conversation, or mentioned in television or movies. If one was to do a quick Google search, you would find a plethora of answers most of which would be stereotypical, offensive, and utterly ridiculous. But overall the answer one would receive to that question would unfortunately, and falsely, be NO! What is camping? According to the Webster’s Dictionary, camping is a place usually away from urban areas where tents or simple buildings (such as cabins) are erected for shelter or for temporary residence.
